The interdisciplinary artist group SCHANDWACHE (Anna Witt, Simon Nagy, Gin Müller, Mischa Guttmann and Eduard Freudmann) was formed in 2020 as a reaction to a graffiti intervention at the monument to Vienna’s antisemitic mayor Karl Lueger. The aim was to preserve the graffiti from being removed and demand the removal or reconfiguration of the memorial.
