Alexandra Chiriac is an art historian specialising in marginalised histories of twentieth modernism, with a focus on performance and design. Currently she is a Leonard A. Lauder Postdoctoral Fellow in the Leonard A. Lauder Research Center for Modern Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. She holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews and an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art. Chiriac’s publications examine aspects of Romanian, Soviet, and Jewish performance and design history and her first monograph, entitled
